Where is Samica Knight on abc13 KTRK?

UPDATE NOVEMBER 12, 2018
Samica Knight returns to abc13 KTRK

Popular abc13 KTRK morning anchor Samica Knight has been off the air for weeks, and viewers are emailing me concerned about her absence

The biggest question in Houston TV news right now is "Where is channel 13 morning anchor Samica Knight?"

KTRK viewers are flooding my social media and email box trying to find out why their favorite AM newscaster is off the air and when she is coming back.

Putting on my detective hat, we know that Knight disappeared from the abc13 airwaves around mid-October - at least that's when her social media accounts went silent.

Well, there was one Tweet on October 30th that simply said "#Halloweencostumeideas." One reply said, "It seems you are a ghost. Where are you on the morning news???? I miss you being with Tom."

While there is no way to know if this is connected to her absence, Knight did post a photo on Facebook on October 15th, that showed her arm with an IV in it with the message:

I’ll be back at it in no time. Thanks for your 🙏🏾 . #Dehydrated

About twelve hours earlier the same day, Knight posted about an illness she had during her vacation.

Good morning Fam! It’s good to be back. I was on vacation first but then became ill over the last week or so. I tell you what, it’s nothing like being sick and not being able to do *anything* about it. Not feeling the greatest but I’m grateful and wearing a smile. 😊 Happy Monday!

In the meantime, co-anchor Tom Koch has been promising on Twitter over the last few days that Knight will return soon.

So based on Knight's social media posts, let's offer our thoughts and prayers and a speedy return to the abc13 KTRK news desk.
