One of Houston's favorite sons, NFL Quarterback and UT Longhorn legend Vince Young, is opening a steakhouse. Not in H-town, but in Austin.
And another famous Houston name is behind the venture. Laura McIngvale-Brown (Mattress Mack's daughter) and her husband Phillip Brown are also owners. In fact Brown will serve as the Vince Young Steakhouse Executive Chef.
Signature dishes include, The Perfect 10, which is 10 ounces of American Wagyu (a tribute to Young’s jersey number), Pork Belly braised and deep fried and a Wagyu Beef Burger with a made from scratch bun.
The Vince Young Steakhouse will be located at 301 San Jacinto Boulevard, between 3rd and 4th street in Downtown Austin, close to the convention center and 6th Street. It will be open seven nights a week from 5pm – 10pm Sunday - Thursday and 5pm - 11pm Friday and Saturday.
The restaurant will begin accepting reservations for dinner on Saturday, November 6. Reservations can be made by calling 512-45-STEAK.
