"I'm leaving the station at the end of March, so I'll continue to report for the morning show for the next two months. I'm really thankful for 12 great years in the broadcast business. Working in my hometown has certainly been a highlight. KHOU is one of the best newsrooms in the country, but I felt it was just time to close this chapter and focus on something new.
So what's next? Well a partner and I have started a production company called the Unlimited Production Group. Our primary focus is producing legal videos though we are branching into other areas. We've been fortunate that early interest has been strong. I'm certainly excited about the challenges of growing my own business.
I'm going to continue to live in Houston just on the east side of downtown. I'll continue to support my Astros and Rockets -- the Texans are slowly growing on me. I'll also look forward to getting a little more sleep in the mornings. I certainly want to thank those Houstonians who spent a little time with us each and every morning. It's been a pleasure and honor to have their trust."
Good luck Kevin.
