While writing about the new KXAN investigative program ‘Cause & Effect,' I learned that Ann Pierret is joining the investigative team at KXAN Austin.
Since September 2021, Pierret has worked for KRQE News 13/FOX New Mexico in Albuquerque as an investigative reporter.
Pierret previously spent nearly a decade working in Michigan television, including five years at ABC12 News (WJRT) in Flint. She began her professional television career at WILX in Lansing in 2014 as a multimedia journalist and fill-in weekend anchor.
A native of Arlington, Pierret is an Edward R. Murrow Award, Michigan Association of Broadcasters Award, and Associated Press Award winner.
Pierret earned a bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Fordham University in 2014. While at Fordham, she worked as a newscast anchor and reporter for WFUV and served as production director, anchor, and reporter for Fordham Nightly News. She also gained production experience with CBS This Morning and NBCUniversal's Morning Joe in New York.
Nathan Langley Joins KXAN Austin as Multimedia Journalist
And while we're talking about Nexstar Media Group's Austin station, Nathan Langley joined KXAN News in July 2026 as a multimedia journalist.
Langley comes from WIFR in Rockford, where he has worked as a multimedia journalist since May 2024.
He began his television career at 13 WREX in Rockford, Illinois, in September 2023 as a digital content producer.
While attending the University of Illinois, Langley studied political science with an emphasis in international relations and English, and earned a minor in creative writing. He was heavily involved with The Daily Illini, serving as a columnist, opinion editor, and senior columnist between 2020 and 2023.
