Megan Reyna joins KHOU 11 Houston

Megan Reyna is joining KHOU 11 Houston as a reporter from TEGNA sister station KENS 5 San Antonio in March 2026.

Here is what Reyna posted on social:

"I’ve worked for more than a decade toward this dream — from high school at College Park to Lubbock, and even Alabama (Roll Tide).

This news is bittersweet. My last day with KENS 5 is at the end of this month. San Antonio, you have been the biggest blessing. I truly love this city and everyone at KENS.

I especially want to thank every family who trusted me to tell their stories, oftentimes during the most unimaginable moments of their lives. I will carry those stories with me forever."

At KENS 5, Reyna is an evening reporter and multimedia journalist, joining the news team in June 2023.

Born and raised north of Houston, Reyna is thrilled to be back in Texas after spending several years out of state at WAAY 31 in Huntsville, Alabama, where she served as a morning anchor beginning in August 2021 after previously anchoring weekends. While in Huntsville, Megan earned an Alabama Broadcasters Association Award for a special report on child abuse, which was also nominated for a regional Emmy Award.

Reyna began her broadcast journalism career in Lubbock, Texas, in 2016. She joined FOX 34 KJTV during her senior year at Texas Tech University as an associate producer and quickly worked her way up to producer, reporter, and anchor. By the time she left Lubbock, she was anchoring weekend newscasts.

Megan won't be the only Reyna on air at KHOU, as Jennifer Reyna has been the channel 11 morning traffic anchor since 2021.
