Noemy Sanchez is departing her role as anchor/reporter at KTRE and KLTV in East Texas to join WATE 6 On Your Side in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she will serve as a morning anchor.
Stepping into the anchor role at KTRE is Brooke Dearing. Dearing previously served as news director for NTTV at the University of North Texas and also worked at KXII 12 in Sherman, a fellow Gray Television station.
Sanchez joined the Gray Television family in 2023, anchoring and reporting for both KTRE and KLTV.
Earlier in 2025, she was hospitalized following a serious car accident.
A graduate of the University of North Texas, Sanchez interned at Telemundo KXTX-39 and CBS 11 KTVT in Dallas-Fort Worth. While still a student, she worked as an associate producer for CBS News in Texas and earned a Gray Television News Fellowship, training at the company’s Washington, D.C., bureau.
She graduated from UNT with two Lone Star EMMYs for anchoring and producing Spanish-language newscasts.
