What started as a chief meteorologist Pete Delkus on-air joke at WFAA 8 Dallas-Fort Worth concerning a simple Jesse Hawila weather graphics error led to an outpouring of viewer support for Hawila.

Well, Hawila had to come out and say it was all a joke! He is not going anywhere.
After all these years, I would think viewers realize there is a lot of joking between these two, as evident in the video below from a couple of years ago! Dare I say their banter is entertaining! Something many newscasts have lost over the years.
