Avaionia Smith leaves her meteorologist position with 6 News KCEN Waco-Temple-Killeen and has left the TV news industry.
Smith joined the Central Texas TEGNA station from WTOK 11 Meridian, Mississippi in May 2024.
A Jackson State University grad, Smith started her career with Storm Team 11 at WTOK in May 2022 and was the meteorologist for "Good Morning Meridian."
