Chancellor Johnson announced on-air this weekend that he is leaving his reporter position with the KPRC 2 Houston sports department, channel 2 viewers tell mikemcguff.com.

UPDATE: Johnson posted his goodbye video on Twitter after this post was published. He later added on LinkedIn that his position was eliminated.
According to his bio, the EMMY award winner created the segments “Connect 4” and “Film Don’t Lie.”
Johnson joined KPRC in January 2022 from NBC26 WGBA Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he was a weekend anchor/sports reporter since October 2019.
A graduate of Pearland Dawson High School and the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona State, Johnson interned with FOX 26 KRIV.
