Caroline Brown is starting maternity leave this week.

UPDATE: Brown posted the following after this post was published:
"I was 2 months pregnant covering Hurricane Beryl and 9 months pregnant for the snow storm. Life goes by so fast! My husband Jack and I are so excited to welcome our baby into the world soon. I’ll be taking off some time to be with Baby JJ, but I’ll be back on KPRC in May before next hurricane season!"
As a thoughtful send-off, the KPRC 2 meteorologist gifted the entire Channel 2 weather team engraved Stanley cups.
In her absence, mikemcguff.com has learned former KPRC 2 weather intern and recent Texas A&M graduate Amanda Goluszka will take over Daji Aswad's weekend evening shift while Aswad will cover Brown’s weekday shifts.
Brown will be back in May for hurricane season.
She announced her pregnancy in October.
In March 2024, Brown married Jack Chadderdon. The couple got engaged in Miami in 2023.
