NBC23 KVEO Rio Grande Valley is undergoing significant changes in weather and anchor roles this summer of 2024.
Morning meteorologist Jessica Kirk moves to evenings for the NBC 23 Valley Storm Team in the 4pm, 6:30pm, and 10pm newscasts after Freddy Vela headed to KXAN Austin. The Florida State University grad started as a weekend meteorologist at sister station CBS 4 in June 2022.
Meteorologist Brianna Medina takes Kirk's NBC 23 morning schedule after weekend evenings with CBS 4 since August 2023. A University of Incarnate Word grad, Medina is pursuing her master’s degree at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Adam Cardona left NBC 23 mornings a few months ago, so Jeremiah Marshall from CBS 4 weekends is now anchoring the AM newscast. Marshall joined CBS4 in August 2022.
The Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi grad worked for KTVE/KARD in Monroe, LA, KRIS/KZTV Corpus Christi and ABC 27 News in Harrisburg Pennsylvania.
