Max Williams joined 25 News Now KAVU Victoria in June 2024 as sports director, a source tells mikemcguff.com.
Williams takes over for Geno Perez, who left in late 2023 and will be on the 6 and 10pm newscasts with Don Brubaker, Karina Garcia, and Maclovio Perez.
The Avila University grad was his school's Assistant Director of Broadcasting, providing play-by-play and commentary for the online broadcast of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) sports teams.
At the same time, he worked as a sports public address announcer for Kansas City Kansas Community College and radio play-by-play for the Ban Johnson Collegiate League.
