Sarah Pepper's last day on Mix 96.5 KHMX Houston's "The Morning Mix" with co-host Jessie Watt was May 17, 2024, but the deadly storms from Thursday evening overshadowed it.
In fact, the station was holding Pepper's goodbye party as the storm rolled into Houston, turning the lights out on the celebration.
