Haddie Djemal joins Dr. Phil's Merit Street Media as a producer/correspondent for "Morning on Merit Street."
Houston television viewers may have heard of the anchor on that show. Her name is Dominique Sachse, and she co-anchors with Fanchon Stinger.
“Every time I’ve taken on the next opportunity in my career, I’ve moved to a completely new city with no personal ties," Djemal told mikemcguff.com. "But I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas as a kid before eventually making Houston my official home and beginning my TV career there. So, to be back in DFW after all these years and to be working with Dominque again feels like coming home twice. It’s truly a full-circle moment in my career. Working on a national network alongside such talented people is truly a dream come true.”
The University of Houston grad worked with Sachse at the beginning of her TV career when she was a KPRC 2 Assignment Editor.
Most recently, Djemal was a national correspondent/producer for The E.W. Scripps Company's television news/magazine show, The List.
Before that, she hosted and produced for local morning shows such as First Coast Living WTLV-WJXX Jacksonville, Florida, and Texas syndicated "Daytime @ 9" (now called "Daytime"), which is produced by Sinclair in San Antonio.
Djemal also worked as a digital producer/reporter for abc13 KTRK.
