Harris County Flood Control District meteorologist Jeff Lindner and Houston-based freelance TV meteorologist Scott Pitney host the Weather Insights podcast, covering how weather affects our lives.
"For me, the idea of doing an informative and fun weather podcast with Jeff was intriguing," Pitney told mikemcguff.com. "Like a lot of shows, we came up with the basic idea and now we’re trying to feel our way around to see what direction this all goes. It’s been a fun process. As expected, I’ve learned a lot from Jeff about weather science and his thoughts on weather communication."
Former abc13 KTRK Houston chief meteorologist Tim Heller, now a TV weather consultant, was a recent guest!
Other recent guests include KAVU chief meteorologist Maclovio Perez and Howie Gordon.
"As far as 'dream guests' speaking for myself; any of the Chief Mets in the Houston market or anyone with similar social media followings may be good, past or present," Pitney added. "Tim’s a good example. Britta Merwin, now at Fox is another that comes to mind."
Houston television audiences will no doubt recognize Linder from his many appearances during severe weather days.
