Who here remembers when the formerly named News 2 Houston broadcast all of its newscasts from the newsroom? Not sure there are many KPRC staffers left from those old days.

KPRC 2 new 2024 studio - standing room only
I guess we are back to the future as channel 2 is once again broadcasting from the newsroom as the station builds itself a fancy new studio. The target debut date for the new studio is January 15, 2024.
Lucky for us, local TV stations stream now so KPRC2+ has lots of time to fill...meaning we have been getting some informative new studio construction updates since December.
