Clarice Tinsley joined KDFW 4 Dallas - Fort Worth (years before FOX existed) on December 4, 1978 with co-anchor Barry Judge, Gary Bazner with the weather and Allen Stone giving the sports news.
On the 45 anniversary of her hiring in 2023, Tinsley looked back on her career and even filmed this amusing segment with her mother.
The Wayne State University grad came to North Texas television from WITI 6 Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Over the years, Tinsley has been honored with a George Foster Peabody Award and has been inducted into the Hall of Fame of the National Association of Black Journalists.
