Evan Nemec ditches his KTXS 12 Abilene sports director role to become morning anchor as of July 2023.
In making the announcement, Nemec tweeted:
"Good Morning, Big Country!
After 7 years of telling your sports stories I am moving to morning anchor at KTXS.
The hours will be different, but I'm excited for a new challenge & the chance to get your day started!"
Nemec joined KTXS in 2016 as a sports reporter/anchor. He was promoted to sports director in 2018.
The University of North Texas grad interned with CBS 11 KTVT (now called CBS News Texas) Dallas - Fort Worth.
