Meagan Harris has been named vice president and news director at CBS Stations’ local operations in Dallas - Fort Worth, which include CBS 11 KTVT, TXA 21KTXA, the CBS News Texas streaming channel and CBSTexas.com effective June 5, 2023.

Harris comes from the news director position of the now shuttered NBC LX News, a millennial targeted network, which broadcasted "across the street" at NBC owned KXAS.
"As someone who has been watching from across the street, I am thoroughly impressed by the transformation that has taken place at CBS Texas during the last two years," Harris said in a press release. "I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to join Raquel and the amazing team there, and also have the support of (CBS News and Stations president and co-head) Wendy McMahon, Adrienne Roark and their CBS News and Stations colleagues as we all work together to produce impactful journalism and make our shop a great place to work."

Harris is no stranger to North Texas TV, but more on that in a minute.
She returned to DFW from her news director role with WTLV 12 - ABC25 WJXX Jacksonville, Florida.
Before the Sunshine State, Harris spent eight years with WFAA 8 as a 10pm news producer and later executive producer.
Harris arrived at WFAA from sister-station KENS 5 San Antonio where she was also a 10pm producer.
The Oklahoma Christian University grad started her career as a producer for KXII 12 Sherman.
Harris has earned 30 regional Emmy Awards for individual/newsroom staff achievements, four regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, a national Murrow and several Associated Press Awards.
