Former KPRC 2 anchor Bill Balleza was honored with Dave Ward Excellence in Media Award for 2023. It's cool to see one Houston news legend honoring another.
"Humbled and grateful to be honored with an award named after my good friend, Dave Ward," Balleza said on Facebook.
The award was presented during the Crime Stoppers of Houston 2023 Houston’s Heroes Awards Luncheon held at the Royal Sonesta Houston on April 26, 2023.
Balleza retired from KPRC 2 in January 2020 after a 49-year career in the television news business. Watch his final channel 2 sign-off.
