As “The Eras Tour” hits town, Taylor’s name and music will take over the Cumulus station all day Friday, when TAY-RBE goes wall-to-wall with all The Eras of Taylor.
The station will be at the NRG complex for all three Swift shows covering the big events and giving tickets away on its website.
I've been covering Houston media for so long now that I remember when the old Hot 95-7 KKHH (now the 95.7 The Spot) temporarily changed to "The New Brit 95-7, Houston’s Brit Hits!" back in 2009 for the Britney Spears concert at Toyota Center.
The New Brit 95-7 broadcasted Spears songs from morning to midnight.
We can keep playing the temporary Houston radio station name change! I have to give you a reason to keep coming here everyday.
In 2021, Selena 105.3 FM playing only songs by the legendary Tejano star debuted.
In 2014, B92, an all Beyonce station, signaled the transition of News92 to Boom 92.1 FM Classic Hip Hop on KROI.
In 1983, remember KBTL “Beatleradio No. 9” on KYST-AM 920 Texas City-Houston?
I'm sure I forgot some others. Let me know.

The city of Houston is celebrating Taylor Swift's ‘Eras’ tour by lighting City Hall in a "Lavender Haze" beginning at dusk in honor of the artist and her mother, Andrea Swift, a University of Houston alumna.
