Ann Hodges, 94, who started the Houston Chronicle TV beat in the early 1960s, died on February 8, 2023 in Austin.
Hodges started with the Chronicle in 1948, left and returned in 1962 to be the Houston newspapers first TV writer, columnist and critic.
As a Houston media obsessed kid in a Chronicle subscribing home, I grew up reading Hodges column until she retired in 2003.
Think she inspired me? I would say obviously yes.
