Caroline Collins made an appearance on the FOX 26 KRIV Houston morning newscast as an introduction to the audience ahead of her big debut tonight.
Houston TV viewers have been asking me just when Collins will be anchoring.
In the above clip, Collins said she will be anchoring the 5pm and 9pm FOX 26 newscasts. Isiah Carey further noted that Collins will co-anchor with Jonathan Martin and Rashi Vats will anchor the 6pm and 10pm news.
Anyone who has been watching channel 26 lately probably has not missed the massive ad campaign promoting Collins' Houston arrival.
FOX 26 announced the Caroline Collins hire back in November. Collins is coming to Houston from KSEE24 Sunrise News Fresno, California where she was a morning anchor since December 2020.
She has garnered a lot of attention, even before her KRIV hiring, because she has 1.5 million followers on social media and is probably the biggest news anchor TikTok star.
This means that Houston could be seeing a TV TikTok war as KPRC 2 anchor Owen Conflenti is a big TikToker, too.
