Sydney Simone has left CW39 KIAH Houston and joined Nexstar Media sister-stations WGMB FOX 44 and WVLA NBC Local 33 Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Here is what Simone posted on Facebook about her Houston TV departure:
"I'm grateful to be joining the NBC Local 33 and Fox 44 news team as the new Weekend Anchor/ Reporter in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
It's time to take my talents in a different direction.
This move may not make senses to some but that's okay. It's chess not checkers.
Houston, this isn't a goodbye... it's a see you later. For now, I'm trusting Gods plan!"
Simone joined channel 39 Houston's morning news as a reporter/multimedia journalist (MMJ) from KTAL 6 Shreveport-Texarkana.
The Purdue grad interned for WLFI 18 Lafayette, Indiana.
