Erika Lopez proved family comes first as she did the KVUE Austin weather Thursday evening with her baby son Odie.
UPDATE AUGUST 2022
Erika Lopez to leave KVUE Austin
Anchors Bryan Mays and Ashley Goudeau enjoyed the little weather helper.
Mays remarked Odie might have been one of the youngest guest meteorologists he had ever seen. Goudeau said Odie was giving her baby fever as he gave her a giant smile.
"Today is unofficially bring your child to work day," the KVUE 24 chief meteorologist told the anchors during the 5pm newscast. "And officially life just happened and you do what you gotta do."
Lopez received a ton of support from her KVUE co-workers. Odie even got a hashtag named for him...#Odieishere.
Odie was born in December of 2021.
