The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced the finalists for the 2022 NAB Marconi Radio Awards and here are the Texas stations.
Both Houston stations on the 2022 Marconi list had nominees for the 2022 Texas Radio Hall of Fame class announced yesterday on my blog. Syndicated show host Roula Christie is the first of the "Roula and Ryan" morning show cast to be nominated for the TRHoF and also Pam McKay of Majic 102.1 is honored on both the TX hall of fame and Marconi lists.
The winners will be announced October 19, 2022 at the Marconi Radio Awards Dinner held during the NAB Show in New York.
According to the NAB, the award established in 1989, is named for inventor/Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi, and given to radio stations and outstanding on-air personalities to recognize excellence in the medium.
