Bryce Newberry joins KPRC 2

Bryce Newberry is joining KPRC 2 Houston from KVUE Austin where he is a morning reporter covering transportation issues.

Here is what Newberry posted on Facebook:

"Next week will be my last at KVUE.

I have absolutely loved the opportunity to cover the Capital City and wake up before the sun with Central Texas. Stories became near and dear to my heart, friends and coworkers became family, and Austin became home. It is bittersweet to say the least.

But, I am eager to take the next step in my career and thrilled to continue calling the beautiful Lone Star State home. Starting next month, I’m joining Houston’s NBC station KPRC2 / Click2Houston.

Thank you everyone who has made these last 3 years some of the absolute greatest."

Newberry joined KVUE in June 2019.

The 2019 Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University grad previously worked as an anchor/reporter for Cronkite News on Arizona PBS in Phoenix.

While in school, Newberry was a student correspondent for Cheddar.

The Wenatchee, Washington native interned for "CBS Evening News," the "TODAY Show," KPNX 12 News Phoenix, and KING 5 News Seattle.
