Nick Natario announced he is taking time way from his multi-media journalist (MMJ) work for abc13 KTRK since he is a new father!
Here is part of what Natario posted on Facebook:
"I wanted to let you know, I'm stepping away from ABC13 Houston until July.
Why?
I've just started my best assignment yet.
Last month, my daughter, Ellie Rey, was born. A name that's special to me. She's named after the most amazing person I know, my Nonne, Eleanor. I'm taking the next two-plus months to bond with her.
Ellie came to our family through adoption. We started the journey six years ago. In Indianapolis, our adoption agency folded for bankruptcy days after our home study was completed.
We moved to Houston and restarted. Almost three years to the day we signed-up with DePelchin Children's Center, Ellie was born. We have an open adoption, and love it. We have a beautiful relationship with the birth family.
We had a gender reveal, shower, and were in the delivery room. We plan to continue to have a relationship moving forward. I wanted to share this because the journey isn't always easy. To all those waiting families, stay strong, and don't be afraid to explore what's best for your family."
