Marc Thomas is joining KMTV - 3 News Now Omaha, Nebraska as evening anchor from Big 2 News KMID Midland/Odessa, TX.
"My life, my rules," Thomas posted on Instagram concerning his new TV station.
In the Permian Basin at KMID, Thomas co-anchored "Good Morning Basin" and hosted “Powering the Permian,” a weekly energy focused show.
Before KMID, Thomas took a break from television news and worked as the regional media relations officer for the Southwestern Region of the USDA Forest Service in Albuquerque, New Mexico. At the same time, he earned a master’s degree at The University of New Mexico where he also taught.
Thomas started on-air at KFVS 12 Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Before that, he was a digital content producer for LEX 18, WLEX Lexington, Kentucky.
The University of Kentucky grad earned awards for his work as an assistant editor/reporter for student publication the "Kentucky Kernel" and the "UK Student News Network."
A veteran, Thomas received an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force where he the rank of Staff Sergeant after six years of active duty.
