Pat Cavlin is joining KHOU 11 as the TEGNA station's weekend evening meteorologist starting March 7, 2022.
"I am humbled to announce that I will be joining the incredible weather team at Houston’s legendary CBS affiliate KHOU in early March," Cavlin tweeted. "Making it to this point in my career is a dream come true and I can’t wait to call H-Town home."

Cavlin's last station was NBC2 WBBH Southwest Florida (Fort Myers) where he had been since January 2020.
Before Florida, Cavlin worked for News 12 Long Island and 13WMAZ Macon, Georgia.
He got his start in the TV biz with the News 12 Networks in New York City.
The State University of New York College at Oswego Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Meteorology grad was previously an EMT volunteer for the East Meadow Fire Department in New York.
He also has a pilot's license.
