Michelle Choi is engaged to former channel 11 photographer Mario Sandoval!
"Some exciting personal news to share...I’m engaged!," Choi posted to her Facebook page. "The love of my life Mario Sandoval secretly gathered BOTH our families last night & popped the question. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you! Te amo Mario Sandoval!"
Choi joined KHOU 11 in 2017 from KTEN 10 Sherman-Denison.
The University of Houston and Stratford High School grad previously worked for FOX 23 KOKI Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Sandoval was in the news himself a lot in 2017 during Hurricane Harvey. He was the photographer on the bridge with then KHOU reporter Brandi Smith who ended up being the only news crew to be able to transmit as the channel 11 studios on Allen Parkway were being evacuated at the time due to the flood waters.
The TV duo even helped save a man's life.
