Keisha Burns has left the NBC 5 DFW KXAS weather department after five years.
Here is the life update Burns gave on Facebook:
"After 5 years working with NBC 5 DFW, and nearly 17 years in the TV news business, I’m gearing up for my next adventure.
The time is now. I’ll have more on my next step soon, but today I want to say thank you!
Thank you for inviting me into your homes.
It’s been an honor and a privilege forecasting for you.
I’ll miss my news family, but looking forward to what’s to come."
Apparently the Lone Star EMMY award winner is not leaving Dallas. UPDATE: Burns is now a REALTOR with Keller Williams Urban Dallas.

Prior to the Metroplex, Burns was a weather anchor at NorthWest Cable News (NWCN) and KING 5 Seattle for seven years.
Before that, Burns worked as an anchor/reporter/weather forecaster for KTVZ Bend, Oregon.
Burns started in the broadcast news businesses at KGWN Cheyenne, Wyoming as a weekend anchor and reporter.
