Texas meteorologist takes on viewer email

Max Crawford, KBTX 3 Bryan-College Station morning meteorologist, has had enough of the keyboard warrior viewer emails.

"I KNOW there’re much worse things going on in this world right now than getting a crummy email, so humor me for a second," Crawford posted on Facebook. "I’ve struggled with my weight since I was about four years old. I’m a lil’ sensitive to stuff like this, especially coming from a stranger who’s talking to me like we’re best buddies.  Here’s a gentle reminder to choose your words carefully. Be kind. Life is too damn short to be anything but."

On a lighter note, I noticed Crawford posted a video of himself eating a scorpion pepper during a live shot (the above embedded video by the way).

Oddly enough, this is not the first scorpion eating on live TV mention this week on the blog.  The earlier mention was a real scorpion though.

The Texas A&M University grad interned under KBTX's Shel Winkley.  He then worked with the legendary Tom Tefertiller at KWES Midland/Odessa, before returning to Brazos Valley TV.
