Mayra Moreno is adding 4pm and 6:30pm abc13 KTRK anchor duties to her schedule, in addition to current 3pm newscast, according to her personal website.
Moreno takes over the 4pm and 6:30pm newscasts from Ilona Carson, who left the channel 13 news department as of June 2021.
The Houston-raised Moreno joined abc13 back in 2015 as a weekend morning anchor from KENS 5 San Antonio. In 2018, Moreno, along with Chauncy Glover, were the first anchors for KTRK's new 3pm newscast.
Before the Alamo City, Moreno worked as an MMJ for 39 News KIAH.
The University of Houston grad started in the TV biz at KRGV Rio Grande Valley.
