Johnny Goyen returns to Houston Radio Platinum

Houston Radio Platinum is proud to announce that Texas Radio Hall of Fame member Johnny Goyen will be joining the staff.

The multi-talented Goyen has worked at many stations in the Houston area including: KYOK, KIKK, KRBE, KODA, KNUZ, KENR, KAUM, KXYZ, KILT, KPRC and KFMK, and will be HRP’s new afternoon talent from 2pm to 6pm.

Houstonradioplatinum.com CEO Joey Kovacik added "We are excited to have Johnny Goyen part of the line-up. It's a blast from the past...it's like the old KFMK here in Houston."

HRP morning man Jimbo also praised Goyen, “Johnny will be the perfect fit for Houston Radio Platinum. We are the only classic hits station available in Houston.  One of Johnny’s best stops was at KFMK playing the classics. This is too good to be true.”

And Johnny not only brings his talent, but he also brings a lot of Houston history with his afternoon show feature “Reflections of Houston.”  Goyen’s career dates back to the mid 60’s when he was just a teen. He’s met many of the stars and broke a lot of the records we call “classics” today.

In addition to Goyen joining the station, the new HRP lineup is

The Jimbo Show (5am to 10am)

Joey and Barry (10am to 2pm)

Johnny Goyen (2pm to 6pm)

Cat (6pm to 9pm)

Donna Reed with Love Songs (9pm to 2am).

Houston Radio Platinum is also bringing back the spirit of old school radio with unique specialty shows like Friday Night Power Hits with Gary Mac (9pm Fridays) and "Crispy Coated Robots Listen To," an album review show heard on Sundays at noon.

Listen online at www.houstonradioplatinum.com, or download the FREE Houston Radio Platinum app from your app store.

Join Johnny weekdays from 2pm to 6pm Monday through Friday starting July 1st.
