UPDATE
Hanna Battah is engaged
"The best & happiest 'YES,'" Capps posted on Facebook. "I can’t wait to marry this man!"
"It’s always been you, Christopher David," she added on Instagram. "Forever will never be long enough."
There are few details on how the big engagement moment went down, but here is some info.
From Instagram, we can tell that Capps's fiancé, Chris Shurtleff, appeared to pop the question at the Statler Dallas hotel. The Statler bills itself as, "the most fascinating retro-chic destination in Downtown Dallas."
Sounds like Shurtleff knew what he was doing!
"Dallas’ finest couple right there," commented FOX 4 morning anchor Hanna Battah. "I am so incredibly happy for you two!"
"Congrats," commented former abc13 KTRK meteorologist Collin Myers. "Awesome location for it too."
The future Capps and Shurtleff married couple, both attended the University of Oklahoma at the same time. Does this mean they will get married "Sooner" than OU weekend in Dallas? See, what I just did there? OK, I'll stop with the Red River Showdown talk.
Stay tuned, as they say in the news biz, for details on the couple's wedding details.
Capps, who grew up in Flower Mound, joined FOX 4 KDFW's Good Day Saturday and Good Day Sunday in 2018. Before that she worked for KXXV Waco - Temple - Killeen as the weekend morning meteorologist.
The Edward R. Murrow Award winner interned for News9 KWTV Oklahoma City, OK.
Here is a fun fact from Capp's bio, she was a voice talent for Radio Disney in Dallas where she recorded voice overs and commercials for the Mouse's stations across the US!
