KHOU 11 Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) Chris Costa is returning to his old stomping grounds of NEWS CENTER Maine (in Portland and Bangor, Maine) WCSH 6 and WLBZ 2.
Costa started at KHOU in 2019.
Here is what he posted on Instagram:
"'Saying goodbye is hard when the memories are so happy.'
My mom (@mjchown ) taught me that. Saturday is my last day at @khou11 — it was a really difficult choice, because in my short time here, I’ve made some great friends.
Our KHOU team has some of the brightest and most thoughtful journalists in Texas, our company, and the country. It’s been a pleasure to learn from them, and about them.
We covered some crazy stories, and grew stronger as team. I’m so grateful to the people who trusted me, and taught me.
My wife and I were also blessed with our amazing daughter here. She brings so much joy into our lives.
This time in Houston gave me a lot to be thankful for. It’s an unforgettable chapter in this story."
While Costa didn't say where he was going in his goodbye Houston social media posts, he did just change his Twitter account to say he is a "News guy for @newscentermaine." As far as what position he is taking there...stay tuned.
