KVUE 24 Austin reporter Kalyn Norwood announced she's leaving the TEGNA owned station and Texas after two and a half years.
"Now the beginning of a new chapter," Norwood tweeted. "I’m excited & humbled to be named weekend evening anchor/reporter @koat7news in Albuquerque."
Her last day with KVUE is August 17, 2020.
Before returning home to the Lone Star State, the Dallas native was a weekend anchor and reporter for KEZI 9 News Eugene Oregon.
Prior to KEZI, Norwood was a student news anchor/producer/reporter/MMJ for the Annenberg TV news serving the University of Southern California in Los Angeles where she earned her BA in broadcast journalism.
As a student, she interned for such companies as Martin Chase Productions, FOX Networks Group, TD Jakes Film & Entertainment and KTLA 5.
She later earned her MBA from Rice University in Houston.
