99.3 "KOKE in the Morning Show" radio host Bob Cole tested positive for COVID-19 in late June.
KVUE's Tony Plohetski reports the longtime Austin radio personality is at home recovering, and back on the air.
Cole said he had been very careful, but admitted he let his guard down a couple of times, including attending a mask-free party.
He had symptoms two days after that.
Cole previously worked as the morning host 98.1FM KVET until 2011.
He and others revived KOKE-FM in 2012 after the station had been off the air for many years.
Cole is an Austinite through and through, owning Austin’s Hill’s CafĂ© and formerly The Tavern and Frisco Nighthawk restaurants.
He is also the voice of The University of Texas Longhorn Band and the stadium announcer.
Cole was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Texas Radio Hall of Fame in 2008.
