Not only is KGNS 8 covering COVID-19 in Laredo, but now it's becoming the story.
The Gray Television owned station reports it has eight active cases among its staff at the moment.
"To our KGNS family who are all fighting the virus, we wish you a very speedy recovery," the station wrote on its website.
That's a lot of cases in one station, especially in a smaller TV news market that already has a lesser number of employees than those in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas or Houston for example.
