Stephanie Serna named KSAT 12 morning anchor
Longtime morning anchor Leslie Mouton left KSAT 12 San Antonio after two decades and is now a non-profit's social media director
KSAT-12 "Good Morning San Antonio" and "KSAT 12 News @ Noon" anchor Leslie Mouton surprised viewers on Facebook with the following post about her immediate resignation in June of 2020:
"Big changes! After almost 21 years I am starting a new chapter of my life. I am so grateful for the wonderful years I have had at KSAT, and blessed to work with the best in the business. Thank you all for supporting me throughout the years, I love you!"
Mouton had been with the Alamo City ABC affiliate since 1999.

According to her bio, Mouton was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2000 at the age of 35. In a time when many did not talk about such matters, Mouton made a statement for cancer patients by anchoring a newscast without her wig to feature her diagnoses.
"I believe it was important for people to see the reality of cancer. I also know the heart-wrenching fear of losing your hair," Mouton said in her bio. "So, I wanted to inspire women not to be ashamed of their bald heads, and hopefully ease the fear of being bald."
That statement garnered national attention with coverage on "Oprah," "Good Morning America," "Weekend Today Show," "20/20," "Inside Edition" and newspaper coverage.

Mouton's marriage to Tony “Maddog” Mattox
Mouton is married to retired Air Force pilot Tony “Maddog” Mattox.

"This handsome, cocky, young pilot heading out to fly an A10 saw me sitting there and walked up to me. 'Hi, my name is Mad Dog and I’m your pilot!' he said.'No you aren’t,' I replied. 'I’ve already met my pilot!' It turns out about nine months later I would end up marrying Mad Dog aka Tony Mattox. But I digress."
The couple has a daughter, Nicole Danielle Mattox. Nicole interned and worked as a producer trainee for KSAT.

Leslie Mouton named social media director for Morgan’s Wonderland Inclusion Foundation Marketing after KSAT 12
Right now we know where Leslie Mouton is going after anchoring for KSAT.
In her post-television news life after many years with KSAT 12, Mouton was named social media director of Morgan’s Wonderland Inclusion Foundation (MWIF) in January 2021, which according to the press release, "coordinates fundraising, planning and communication for the unique theme park and related endeavors, all designed with individuals with physical and cognitive challenges in mind."
“We’re delighted that Leslie has joined us in helping communicate the many ways we’re pursuing our mission of inclusion,” said Gordon Hartman, who along with wife Maggie created non-profit Morgan’s Wonderland, thanks to inspiration from their daughter with special needs, Morgan. “Leslie’s impressive expertise and experience will go a long way in shining the spotlight on our ultra-accessible™, fully-inclusive facilities for those with and without special needs.”
