Taniya Wright reveals why she had to put her health first
KPRC 2 morning anchor Taniya Wright leaves KPRC 2
KPRC 2 morning anchor Taniya Wright is no longer with the NBC affiliate multiple sources tell mikemcguff.com.
KPRC had no official comment. UPDATE: Wright said in a comment on her Facebook page that her departure was a management decision.
Wright joined channel 2 in August 2019 to anchor the morning show and mid-day newscasts and fill the seat vacated by Rachel McNeill who was hired by KPNX after her husband took a new job in Phoenix.
Wright came to the Bayou City from Raleigh's WNCN.
Before that, Wright worked as a morning and midday anchor at KJRH Tulsa, Oklahoma, and midday and 5pm anchor at WHAG Hagerstown, Maryland.
Wright is a member of a Gold Star family and was a recipient of a scholarship from the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
