This past weekend, The Lone Star Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded Telemundo Houston with 12 Lone Star EMMY® Awards during the 17th annual awards gala held on Saturday, November 16, in Arlington, Texas.
The 12 statues were more than any other Houston area station – regardless of language.
Telemundo Houston was recognized for the Continuing Coverage of the death and funeral of President George HW Bush and the ITC petrochemical plant fire as well as multiple Responde and Investiga stories.
Telemundo 60 San Antonio won a total of seven Lone Star Emmy® Awards. Of the awards received, Telemundo San Antonio took home the top honor of the night, “Overall Station Excellence”, an award that recognizes the overall operations excellence from news, special programs, promotions, events and involvement in the community.
