KHOU 11 reporter Josh Marshall is reportedly leaving the TV news biz
KHOU 11 multi-skilled journalist Josh Marshall is leaving channel 11 in August according to an internal memo obtained by Tesla owner and FTVLive founder Scott Jones.
According to the memo, Marshall who serves in the National Guard, has elected to not return to work at the TEGNA owned station after his latest deployment.
After joining the West Virginia National Guard in 2008, Marshall served in Afghanistan from 2017 to 2018. He still serves as an artillery sergeant.
The award winning reporter joined KHOU in August 2016 as the station's first MSJ.
Before Houston, Marshall worked as an investigative reporter for KCTV5 Kansas City for two years. Prior to KC, he was a reporter at WEYI Flint, Michigan.
According to the leaked memo, Marshall’s last day with KHOU will be Friday, August 16th.
I contacted KHOU for comment on this, but did not hear back.
