FOX 26 KRIV reporter John Donnelly is leaving the station.
On the FOX 26 live stream of his goodbye (embedded below), Donnelly and the anchors talk about his new job with The Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg's office.
Colleagues are hailing Donnelly as one of the best storytellers in the business.
"We are losing a brilliantly talented journalist and our newsroom will miss him more than he knows," posted colleague Natalie Hee.
In the Facebook live stream, you will hear anchors Jonathan Martin and Denise Middleton praise Donnelly's work.
My readers are hitting socials saying he is one of the best and will be missed.
Donnelly has been with the FOX Television Station since 2003, a few years before my blog was even created, so I don't even have a post to reference about his arrival!
His broadcasting career began at WHSV in Harrisonburg, Va. He went on to work for WRCB Chattanooga, Tenn. and then had a six-year stint as a reporter at WREG Memphis.
The New York native graduated from Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
*Updated with information about his new job from the live stream
