Brittany Glas ‏leaves KXAN, Mari Salazar joins KVUE

Some Austin TV job changes as KXAN Austin investigative reporter/fill-in anchor Brittany Glas leaves for KSL 5 Salt Lake City and KLBK's Mari Salazar joins KVUE

KXAN Austin investigative reporter/fill-in anchor Brittany Glas is heading for the same gig at KSL 5 Salt Lake City, Utah.

"After 3 AMAZING years in Austin, it is bittersweet to announce TODAY is my last day at @KXAN_News," Glas tweeted this week. "I’m headed to Utah where I’ve accepted an Investigative Reporter position at @KSL5TV in Salt Lake City! Thank you, Central Texas for watching & for trusting me to tell your stories."

The San Antonio native previously worked at KSNW Wichita, Kansas. Her TV news career was launched at KAUZ Newschannel 6 Wichita Falls where she produced and anchored. It was at KAUZ she became interested in investigative reporting.

She is a 2011 graduate of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

Meanwhile, KLBK Lubbock bilingual multimedia journalist Mari Salazar is joining KVUE Austin as a Multi-Skilled Journalist (MSJ). The MSJ term seems unique to TEGNA since I only see that term associated with the one TV owner.

"It’s bittersweet to announce I’ve accepted a job as a MSJ at @KVUE in Austin, TX," Salazar tweeted this week. "My last day on KLBK is this Saturday! I’m forever in debt to Lubbock for the friends and family it gave me. Thank you to everyone who has supported me from the beginning."

Salazar joined KLBK in 2017 and is a graduate of the University of Florida.
