Telemundo Houston gets big numbers in May 2019 sweeps

KTMD tells me in May 2019 sweeps its 10pm newscast secured roughly 60% of the Spanish-language news audiences, resulting in more than twice the number of viewers of any local English-language newscast

HOUSTON, TX – (May 23, 2019) – Upon conclusion of the May 2019 survey period “Noticiero Telemundo Houston a las 10PM” was the #1 local late news and weather choice among Adults 18-34, 18-49, and 25-54 regardless of language, delivering twice the audience in each
demographic than any English language local late newscast.

Over half of all Houston Adults 18-34 and 18-49 watching 10PM late news choose to watch in Spanish.

Telemundo Houston / KTMD also delivered more Adults 18-34, 18-49, and 25-54 watching weekday prime programming regardless of language than any other local Houston broadcast station. Specific prime highlights include:

• “Betty En NY” at 8:00 PM most watched 8PM Spanish-Language prime program among Adults 25-54.
• “La Reina Del Sur 2” at 9:00 PM delivered more Adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 in the time period than any other local broadcast station in any language.

Year-to-date 2019, Telemundo Houston continues to deliver the most Adults 18-34 and 18-49 watching weekday prime programming and local late news, regardless of language.
