After nearly seven years with KVUE Austin, Multimedia journalist/Sports Anchor/Reporter Shawn Clynch is leaving the TEGNA station and from what we tweeted, it sounds like the television news industry.
I’m sorry for the abrupt and random nature of this, but life is a cycle of change. The past 21 years feels like 5. I’ve been blessed beyond imagination. From the relationships to you, the loyal viewer/follower, thank you!
Due to personal goals, I’m transitioning to a new career.
He has not announced his next gig, but notes his last days at KUVE will take place the week of June 7th.
Before Austin, Clynch worked as a Multimedia journalist/Sports Anchor/Sports Reporter for KOKH FOX 25 Oklahoma City. Prior to Oklahoma, he worked for KTRE Lufkin-Nacogdoches as a sports director from August 1999 – Dec 2006. He got his start in TV news as a Weekend Sports Anchor/Weekday News Reporter for KACB (now KSAN) NBC 3 San Angelo.
He attended Stephen F. Austin University and L.C. Anderson High School in Austin.
