In making the announcement, Schiller stated, “Ivory will make a great addition to the FOX 26 team because she brings a passion and versatility to her reporting, whether she’s covering breaking news, a city council meeting, or a feature story.”

Most recently, Hecker served as a reporter and early morning anchor for KARE-TV in Minneapolis. Prior to that, she held the position of reporter at stations including WLEX-TV in Lexington, KY, WACH-TV in Columbia, SC, and KBJR-TV in Duluth, MN.

A graduate of Syracuse University, Hecker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Hecker added, “I can’t wait to be a Texan, sharing Houston’s stories and working alongside a great group of professionals who genuinely care about their community and each other.”

KRIV is part of the FOX Television Stations, one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 28 stations in 17 markets and covering over 37% of U.S. television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Charlotte.
