So Houston has survived week one of a post KTRK abc13 Don Nelson world, but we'll eventually see if the morning ratings can say the same.
Just to show you what a class act Nelson is, I found out the Houston TV legend took the time to visit with the University of Houston's student chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators during his last day on the job.
Imagine all of his emotions, colleagues/family/friends on hand wanting to talk with him, visiting media wanting an interview and every other distraction after nearly 40 years with the station, and yet he took the time to speak with students.
I hear meteorologist Casey Curry was kind of enough to host the group of UH students and take them on a tour of the Disney/ABC Television Group station.
